Substantial internal modifications to convert Alexandra House, a Grade II listed Art Deco Health Centre to create additional accommodation for the school. The project included two single storey extensions and external modifications, new roof coverings and upgrades of mechanical and electrical systems.
Removal of existing outbuildings. Construction of refectory extension area comprising steel post & gluelam timber beams and glazing/doors. Create covered walkway leading to existing refectory, new toilet block and enclosed refuse and delivery/loading area.
St Mary's and St John's Church of England School, Hendon
Phase 1, 48 weeks comprised a new entrance canopy, glazed atrium courtyard extension, internal refurbishment including classroom fit out, window and door replacement, elevation works, landscaping and associated external works.
This was a construction of a new two-storey Nursery, which included piled foundations, steel frame and pitched roof, brick and stonework, M&E performance as well as provision of toilet, cooking and play facilities.
Working with Architects S.C.A.B.A.L and London Diocesan Board of Schools we constructed a new two storey hall and dining area including lift installation, kitchen installation and all associated works. PROJECT VALUE: £800,000
Phase II at St. Matthew's Academy consisted of the replacement of their Sports Hall; a 48 week programme with two weeks design prior to start. We drew on our extensive experience to deal with obvious challenges and considerations that arise when working within a school.
