Greyfriars church, Reading - phase 1

Ash was appointed to deliver the first phase of a multi-million-pound redevelopment on the Greyfriars Church in Reading. Works started with the demolition of the outdated entrance. Temporary works were put in place to allow the team to construct a new entrance in the 1-meter thick wall. This new entrance is being constructed to merge the historic building with a new modern highly glazed entrance which will provide a transparent, public-facing, welcoming entrance space. This will be home to a coffee shop and bookshop, as well as having space to hold events.
